Yeah morgan i agree with your themes, i also noticed those myself. I think the power of literature is a main theme also. If one analyzes our society, lituature has a huge impact on our culture and way of being. For example the patriot act allows the government to investigate what people are reading if they suspect someone of terrorist activity, which i think is okay to do, however i think in the book, it isn't a matter of protecting one's freedom and safety as the reason to why they ban books, it's just a power hungry government.
